A FEW IDEAS FOR YOUR EMBROIDERED VALENTINE'S HEARTS

Last week I wrote a post about creative ways to embroider Valentine’s hearts which can be found HERE. After creating that blog post, I was on a roll so I made a few ‘heart’ things that I thought I would share. They are really quick and easy to make and you still have plenty of time if you want to make something special.

  1. MAKE A SIMPLE VALENTINE’S CARD

2. MAKE A WALL HANGING KEEPSAKE.

These are so fast and fun to make. You could use any kind/color of background fabric and coordinated thread. I used tulle as my background fabric and variegated thread. You could also add text to personalize your heart, like a phrases, names, initials or a quote.

3. MAKE A PRETTY HANDKERCHIEF OR NAPKIN

Personalize a white handkerchief or napkin. They are great tucked in with a gift or even to wrap something with. Add initials or an “I LOVE YOU” to really make it special.

4. PERSONALIZE A SMALL ZIPPER POUCH OR BAG.

I love this one because you can fill the pouch with little presents. Chocolates, pencils, jewelry, perfume, show or movie tickets, and whatever other tiny treasures your valentine might like.

5. USE YOUR HEARTS TO MAKE APPLIQUÉ PROJECTS

Appliqué is when you attach one piece of fabric onto a background piece of fabric. Make a bunch of hearts, cut them out, and attach them to other fabrics like clothing, pouches, quilt pieces etc. If you are curious about appliqué, I did a post about it HERE.

6. PERSONALIZE CLOTHING.

You can appliqué or sew directly onto clothing, purses, socks, and other accessories.

Hope you got some great ideas for your Valentine!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Valentine’s Day!
