Father's Day is right around the corner so I thought I would create a fun little free printable that you could present to your favorite guy. Remember the old saying "Good things come in small packages."? Well, here is your opportunity to prove that saying true! I illustrated a small box that you can print (and even color if you wish) then fill it with some small goodies to treat your favorite Dad on Father's Day.

Here is how you put your box together:
Gather together these simple supplies:
1. A Pair of nice sharp scissors
2. Some double-sided tape. (You could also use glue but I found the tape to be much easier.)
3. Optional coloring implements. ( I chose some simple colored pencils for this project but anything will do. You could use markers, watercolors, or whatever you have on hand.) These look cute even if you decide not to go the coloring route!
4. A nice thick paper to print on (such as a cardstock). I printed these on a white card stock and a craft paper cardstock so you could see what they look like on different papers. These would also look great printed on colored paper!
Start by printing a copy (or two or three) of your box.
Here are my printed copies of the boxes. I printed a couple on the brown cardstock and a couple on the white.
Get your scissors and cut around the perimeter of the box.

This is a great time to color your box (or have your child do it). I colored the white box with some colored pencils, in this example.
Once you are done coloring, fold all the areas where there are dotted lines to make creases before adhering the sides of the box. You want to fold them toward the non-printed side. See the example below of what the box looks like after you made all the creases:
Once you have attached the bottom, now you can attach the side flaps to the side of the box using the same method.
I cut my tape in half to make it fit perfectly on the flap. See the picture below:
Here is what the box looks like with both the sides and the bottom attached with the double sided tape:
Now for the best part! Find some special little treats to fill your box. You could add some festive tissue paper to make a little nest.
Now fill it with your Dad's favorite treats! Just a few ideas are candy, tickets to a concert or sporting event, fly fishing ties, lottery tickets, chore coupons, gift certificates, or whatever else your imagination can dream up!
You could use it to hold the aftershave lotion you made in the last post:) These would be great to print out for your kids! They could each decorate and fill one with their own hand picked gift for Dad! Print up a bunch and create a treasure hunt with clues in each box leading to the final gift!!! Have a blast.
