I have always loved reading. I remember when I was a little girl, spending some of my summers at the library as part of the summer reading program. I loved to pick out stacks of books and disappear in them. Summer meant free time and pleasure reading.
Reading still holds that magic for me and I love a juicy summer read! So to celebrate, I made you these fun free printable bookmarks!
Print your PDF onto cardstock (a heavier weighted paper). You can find cardstock at your local craft store and maybe even at your grocery store in the office supply section.
You can just print and use them as is or you can decorate and color them. I grabbed some colored pencils, turned on a relaxing podcast and had myself a little coloring therapy session. Use whatever you have around (markers, crayons, paint, whatever!)
Once you are all done coloring, use a pair of scissors to cut out the bookmark.
I have included three little accompanying pieces to attach to your bookmarks. Cut out those as well if you wish to add those for a little extra pizazz.
Grab a hole puncher and punch a hole in both the bookmarks and the accompanying pieces then gather some twine, string, or ribbon.
Loop your ribbon through the hole in the bookmark and the hole in the accompanying piece, making sure to check that the accompanying piece is facing in the direction you would like. Tie the ribbon then add a piece of cute tape to the back for extra security.
Voila! Now make yourself a refreshing drink and relax with your favorite juicy summer read!!!
They look cute with just a little ribbon, too or even just on their own!
Hope you are thoroughly enjoying your summer and have found some juicy summer reading. I just started The Nest. I'm always looking for great recommends! I'd love to hear what you are reading!
Very Warmly,
Pam
